Dileep’s remand custody extended till Saturday 5 pm

KOCHI : The Angamaly Magisrate court on Friday extended Dileep’s police custody until 5 pm on Saturday in connection sexual assault case  where the popular Malayalam actress  was waylaid and gangraped by a hired 4-member gang on 17 February allegedly in vengeance nurtured by actor Dileep, in the breakdown of his first marriage mired in an adulterous affair.

The crime carried out has been gruesome and there is incriminating evidence against the star, the prosecution argued adding that it was ready to produce the sealed case diary, to prove the point.

Govt. advocate also said the crucial mobile phone used to capture the assault is to yet be recovered hence further custody is essential. To this Dileep’s lawyer, senior counsel Ram Kumar, remarked if the mobile would breakdown from the skies in a day’s time. Ram further asked why police was searching for approver if it had already witness.

On query of wellbeing, the actor  told the court he had no complaints against the police in whose custody he has been since past 2 days.
