Serial Killers : Pandher and Koli sentenced to death in Pinky Sarkar case

NEW DELHI :  Businessman Moninder Singh Pandher and his domestic help Surinder Koli have been sentenced to death after CBI Court in Ghaziabad  convicted the duo of kidnapping, raping and killing 20-year-old Pinky Sarkar.

The court described the case as rarest of rare.

Police had on Dec 29, 2006 discovered 19 skeletons  from Pandher’s house in Nithari in Noida , mostly that of young girls.

Pandher’s lawyer argues that CBI probe proved how Pandher had left for Dehradun on October 5, 2006 from his Noida office and returned only on October 10 and therefore not present when Pinky was killed.

CBI however maintained that Koli had confessed to have lured Pinky as she returned from work, into the house on October 5 of 2006 when he killed and dismembered her body before dumping the body parts in a drain close to the house.

Pandher and Koli have been convicted in six cases pertaining to mass grave discovery while nine are in various stages of trial, public prosecutor Jaiprakash Sharma said.
