Governor Unhappy over Law and Order Situation, CM to hold talks with RSS, BJP

THIRUVANTHAPURAM : Governor after a sending a report to Union Home Ministry on the volatile situation prevailing in the capital, met with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at Raj Bhavan to express  his concern over violence ripping through the city.

The governor signaled his disappointment to the police headquarters as well.

Following the development, the CM has called for talks between CPM and RSS/BJP leaders in a bid to ease the situation.

BJP state president Kummanum Rajashekaran, MLA O Rajagopal, RSS leader P Gopalan Kutty are expected to sit for discussions.

Meanwhile on a tip-off of possible attack on AKG Centre – the CPM state headquarters – security has been tightened in the area. Cops on leave have been recalled for added reinforcement and prohibitory orders barring congregations or inflammatory posts on social media has been clamped.

Police are fully prepared to deal with any kind of violence should there spark one, DGP Loknath Behera said.
