Over 40 Children die from lack of oxygen in UP’s govt hospital, again
Farrukhabad( UP ) : First Information Report(FIR) has been filed against the Chief Medical Officer(CMO) of a government-run hospital in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, following death of 49 children, owing to lack of oxygen.
The District Magistrate(DM) has ordered a probe into the tragedy.
The occurrence follows similar tragedy at a state-run hospital in Gorakhpur, where at least 68 children died early last month .
Pertaining to Gorakhpur tragedy, Dr. Khafeel Khan, initially seen as savior of several children, was arrested on 3 August after being named in the case registered against those responsible for the mass deaths.
