Xiamen, CHINA : At BRICS summit on Monday, the heads of states of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa strongly condemned terror groups and for the first time in a declaration, named Pakistan-based terror outfits like Lashkar-eTaiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Haqqani network.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in the Chinese port city of Xiamen for the Summit said he looks forward to having “productive discussions and positive outcomes’ with leaders of the group towards stronger partnership among member countries.
Modi’s visit to China comes days after India and China ended the 73-day-long Doklam standoff.
PM will hold bilateral meetings beginning with Russian President Vladmir Putin. He also expects to meet heads of other countries like Egypt(invited by China as part of Outreach programme).
China under the Outreach also invited Kenya, Tajikistan, Mexico and Thailand as guest countries.
