Kochi : The Kerala High Court on Tuesday postponed the hearing of actor Dileep’s bail plea to Sept 26 following govt request for allowing more time to respond to the petition.
All the same court observed that there was no change to circumstances in any manner and asked why the defendant moved the court again with bail petition.
This is Dileep’s 5th bail petition and one in less than a day’s time after Angamaly court refused the actor bail yesterday saying rape charges would apply hence 90 days in custody is not beyond norms.
Dileep’s bail application today came through his counsel Raman Pillai and comprised 35 pages. The plea raises allegations against direct Sreekumar Menon and ex-wife Manju Warrier. The petition then proceeds to assure that he will not do anything to influence witnesses if allowed bail. The actor further informed that projects worth Rs. 50 crore face uncertainty with him in jail.
Dileep has completed 69 days in jail in connection with the sensational abduction case where a popular Malayalam actress was waylaid and gangraped in a moving car on 17 Feb.
