Man claiming to be part of sex, drug racket and murder let off

Kottayam : A man stunned the audience in a  meet at Kottayam Press Club, when he claimed to be part of sex and drug racket who  personally roped in several women into  flesh trade.

To the dismayed crowd, he revealed his identity as Sibi from Vaikom adding that he was willing to turn approver and surrender at Vaikom Judicial First Class Magistrate court.

He further claimed responsibility for several suicides the latest being that of a 20-yr-old, he said.

He went on to narrate that he was part of a group that murdered a watch trader near Coimbatore bus stand, 20 years back

A police team led by West Circle Inspector Nirmal Bose arrived in response to the information and arrested Sibi even as journalists protested that it hindered freedom of press and that the man should be allowed to complete his narration.

Later during interrogation the police failed to find anything substantial and let Sibi walk away after a couple of hours.
