Amit Shah to Join “Janaraksha Yatra” in T’Puram today

Thiruvananthapuram : BJP Chief Amit Shah will join the high pitched “Jana Raksha Yatra” as the two-week road show concludes in the capital today.

The padyatra was inaugurated by Shah on October 3 from Kannur and was purportedly in protest of political violence unleashed by ruling party CPI(M).
According to sources, Shaha will walk alongside party cadres from Pattom to Puthrikandam Maidan, the venue of valedictory to the yatra.

Several BJP heavyweights including chief ministers from several states such as Yogi Adityanath,  have participated in the yatra,

The yatra was being led by BJP state chief Kummanom Rajashekharan.

Scathing claims during yatra speeches included allegation that violence in the state peaked whenever LDF assumes power and that BJP cadre are targeted for attacks including lethal ones by CPM.

CPM countered the allegations by lashing out that BJP strategies including the yatra are aimed at destroying prevalent peace and triggering violence in the state.
