Kochi : Upon raised conducted on Advocate C P Udayabhanu’s house and office in connection with the murder of Chalakkudy Real Estate Broker V A Rajeev, the police said they have sized crucial evidence.
Udayabanu maintained that his relations with the deceased was purely one of lawyer and client.
Evidences seized in the search mow includes documents that show Rs One crore 30 lakh land transaction between Udayabhanu and murdered Rajeev.
The computers used for preparing the documents and documents was also seized and are being sent for forensic scrutiny, police said.
Prosecutor had told the court that Rajeev and Udayabhanu had contacted several times over the phone on the fateful day.
The Court deferred its ruling on anticipatory-bail plea submitted by the accused lawyer to 23 October observing that the police could pull him up anytime for questioning after issuing due notice.
