Thiruvananthapuram(KERALA) : Although Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had earlier suggested the Solar Commission Report would be presented to the Assembly within 6 months as per norms, the document will be tabled in a Solar exclusive session to held on Nov 9.
The move, govt sources said, is considering the uproar by affected parties and opposition members.
The special Assembly session for this is being pushed through procedures which includes consent of the governor.
The Justice Sivarajan Commission report is said to be containing findings far more grave than indicated by CM so far, according to sources close to the govt.
Earlier opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala had said, it was not fair to keep the report hidden and flout charges publicly, including initiating criminal charges against former CM Oommen Chandy, then home minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan and other prominent names in UDF.
About 12 Congress members, including Oommen Chandy had submitted written request to make a copy of the commission available, a move possible only after presenting it to the Assembly first.
