Gujarat: After Narendra Patel, Nikil Sawani quits BJP

In less than two days, another BJP leader Nikhil Sawani has called it quits alleging that govt has done nothing towards quota for the Patels in Gujarat.

“I joined the party as it was doing some good work. They had said, Patidars should get reservation, a lollipop they have been offering for years. But their commitment towards the cause was not firm,” Nikhil said.

On question on  where from here, Nikhil said he was going back to Hardik Patel’s organisation Patidar Anarmat Andolan adding that, he would meet with Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Earlier, Narendra Patel had resigned from BJP and claimed he was offered Rs. 1 crore to change his mind.

Commenting on the incident Nikhil said, “I congratulate Patel. He comes from a small family but still he didn’t accept Rs. 1 crore”.
