Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a public rally last night asked why former PM Manmohan Singh lacked courage to order a surgical strike post 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, despite Army readiness.
After the Mumbai attacks, the Air Force had approached Singh with a proposal for surgical strikes, but govt shied away, Modi said.
Contrasting the attitude with his regime Modi said “My govt, in the aftermath of Uri attack, launched a surgical strike inside borders of Pakistan targeting several terror camps and launchpads.
Modi said he vacated Vadodara Lok Sabha seat in 2014 to see “Lotus” blossom in Uttar Pradesh which will pattern after Gujarat model for development, he said.
After winning two Lok Sabha seats from Vadodara and Varanasi in 2014, Modi chose to retain the Varanasi seat.
