Chennai : Keeping fans on the edge, Rajinikant in a meet hinted he might soon foray into politics.
“I am happy to meet you once again,” he said addressing the fan meet, adding, “I am not new to politics. I got late. God willing, I will ener politics. On Dec 31, you will know my plans”.
TTV Dinakaran’s victory has unsettled dynamics of Tamil Nadu politics. Winning majority votes from for chief minister Jayalalithaa’s own constituency RK Puram, has EPS-OPS group that clamours for Jayalalithaa’s legacy from Sasikala’s in doldrums.
Also the opposition DMK, now being led by MK Stalin has yet to find its footing after consecutive Lok Sabha and Assembly election defeats. Also the recent 2G scam acquitting A Raja and Kanimozhu has disrupted internal dynamics in the Karunanidhi family.
Given the mixed bag, Rajinikanth’s announcement will have a defining impact on future politics of the state.
