The govt did not buy the former Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas’s explanation seeking reversal of disciplinary measures against him.
Jacob was suspended following his controversial speech at a function in the capital last December.
In a camouflaged attack on present govt, he said there is a breakdown of law and order in the State and that people were simply afraid to come out against corruption.
Continuing the offensive, Jacob asked if govt response would have been the same if those missing post Ockhi were their own kin.
He further took a dig at TP Chandrasekaran murder, committed by Left workers, saying the corrupt in the State are bonded and will silence outspoken ones even if they do not hack “51 times”.
Following his suspension, Jacob submitted an explanation seeking relief from disciplinary action.
Dismissing the plea, govt today confirmed it will go ahead with needful measures against the high-profile IPS officer.
