Gauri Lankesh Murder : Hindu Yuva Sena Founder Taken Into Custody

The Special Investigation Team(SIT) had remanded KT Naveen Kumar, the founder of Hindu Yuva Sena, for eight days for detailed questioning in connection with murder of journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh late last year.

The 37-year-old hails from Mandya district of south Karnataka and was nabbed from a busy bus station at Chikmagalur, where he currently lives.

The Central Crime Branch acted a tip-off that a man was trying to sell .32 mm cartridges in Bengaluru’s Cottonpete. They recovered 15 Live rounds of cartridges from him which are identical to the ones used in Lankesh shootout.

Also, Kumar reportedly bears close resemblance to the person caught on CCTV footage at the journalist residence a few hours before her murder.
