Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Sochi today for “no agenda” informal meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The meeting comes just days after Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Wuhan after an informal summit.
Modi expressed hope that his talks with Putin will strengthen the “special and privileged” strategic partnership between the two nations.
The summit will reportedly take place at a private “dacha” or villa of Putin in Sochi, hidden on a mountainside and unmarked on maps.
Putin will host a lunch for Modi but there will be no “guard of honour”. Also no minister accompanying the Prime Minister will be present nor will there be documents or giving of statements.
The “no frill visit” according to sources will broach on changing international scenario.
