A total of nine women have accused legendary actor Morgan Freeman of improper behaviour and sexual harassment, including one who claims he tried to lift her skirt asking if she was wearing underwear.
The 20-year old production assistant alleged the incident took place in summer of 2015 when she woked on “Going in Style” – a crime comedy starring Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin.
“He kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear,” she said. Each time Freeman tried to tug at her, she would move away, she added.
She also said Freeman rested his hand on her lower back and rubbed it without consent.
Eight other women said the Oscar-winner made unwanted advances ranging from sexually charged verbal harassment to forcible touching.
Denies But Apologises
Freeman maintained that he never intentionally harassed anyone.
“Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected – that was never my intent”.
