Kerala Cop On Tripura CM Duty Gets Bitten By Viper

Aluva : A Kerala cop, part of security of Tripua Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, got bitten by viper when asleep in the storeroom of the 5-star-hotel where the CM was lodged.

Rijo and five other policemen could not manage accommodation in the hotel and settled in the storeroom for the night.

The snake struck past mid-night when all of them were asleep.

Toxicity of the venom is considered hematoxic, which means it causes blood poisoning in the victim.

Rijo was rushed to Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly, where his condition is said to be stable.

Tripura CM arrived in Kerala to pitch for BJP in upcoming Chengannur bypoll scheduled to be held on May 28.
