Jesna Case : 400 Cops To Comb Forests After Lack of Leads

Pathanamthitta : A large search team comprising 400 cops are scouring the forests of Idukki for 20-year-old Jesna Maria James who disappeared on her way to paternal aunty’s house there  nearly three months ago.

The combing operations by a total of 10 squads  are underway at Erumeli, Mundakayam and Peermade forest divisions.

On Saturday May 3, a charred body was found in Chngalapet in Tamil Nadu but later proved to be that of lactating mother older than Jesna.

A CCTV footage collected by the family shows Jesna seated in a bus Sivaganga on her way to her aunt’s home. Jesna did not carry her mobile making tower location impossible to render clues.

The case sparked wide criticism and police who announced Rs. 2 in reward for clues are spinning wheels  hard unsure of the direction.

Today’s  search is being carried out at the request of Jesna’s kin.
