15-yer-old Boy Burnt Alive During Morning Walk : Nainital

Uttarakhand : A 15-year-old boy died after he was burnt alive by unknown assailants  on his morning walk.

The incident took place on Thursday in Ranikhet in Almora district.

Morning walkers found the teen in burns  barely 200 metre from his house.

Residents who identified the boy as Dinesh Singh Bisht informed his family who took him nearby hospital.

Dinesh on his way to the hospital spoke of two strangers who arrived in a vehicle and poured kerosene on him before lighting fire.

Dinesh died later on his way to a bigger hospital at Haldwani.

His friends and neighbours described him as a good-natured boy who did well in studies and exta-ciricular, adding, they were unaware of any rivalry that existed.

Police have initiated a probe into the incident.
