Annoyed by incessant cry, Anganwadi staff smears Chilli Pd in toddler’s Mouth

In a shocking incident, an attendant at an Anganwadi in Andhra Pradesh rubbed chilli powder on a toddler’s  tongue to stop him from crying after his mother.

The incident  took place on Monday at Krishna district’s Bhushangulla village and came to light after the parents jointly lodged police complaint on the occurrence.

On Monday morning, the toddler cried incessantly after his mother went away leaving him with other kids at the Anganwadi. The attendant Kumari who failed to calm the child brought some chilli powder and smeared into the wailing child’s mouth.

Police have registered  a case on the incident.
