New Delhi: Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Gurudas Kamat died Wednesday morning at a private hospital in New Delhi. He was 63.
Kamat complained of breathlessness and was rushed to hospital but died on the way. He was alone at his home at the time of cardiac arrest.
His family later rushed from Mumbai to fetch his body back to home state of Maharashtra, Mumbai.
An advocate by profession, Kamat served as former Mumbai Confress President and also represented Mumbai in parliament in 1984, 1991, 1998, 2004 and 2009.
