New Delhi : In a tragic incident a teen was beaten to death for allegedly attempting to rob a house in the capital.
The 16-year-old boy was caught at a house in Delhi’s Mukundpur area by the owner who claimed he had sneaked in to steal valuables. The boy was then beaten up by residents around and died in the assault.
The incident took place around 3.30 am today.
The boy who hailed from Khagaria district in Bihar had arrived in Delhi only a fortnight ago. His mother was a homemaker and father a labourer in Noida. The family claimed the boy was not a thief and that there would be another reason for his presence in the house he was caught at.
Police have registered at the Bhalaswa Dairy police station and three attackers have been arrested while three others are absconding.
The mob lynching comes barely 2 months after another 31-year-old man was beaten to death on suspicions of theft in north Delhi’s Burari.
