IAF fighter jet crashes in Jodhpur, Pilot safe

An MiG 27 fighter jet belonging to Indian Air Force crashed in Jodhpur  near Deoria village in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur Tuesday morning. The pilot is safe after ejecting in time.

The aircraft  which took of from Jodhpur airbase was on a routine training mission, an Air Force spokesperson said.

The that jet descended in a field, burst into flames and was charred completely.

Police and fire brigades reached the site and doused the flames.
Another MIG 27 had crashed near Jodhpur before making this the third incident to happen this year.

A Court of Inquiry will investigate the mishap.
