Goods train catches fire at Kottayam

Kottayam : A goods train caught fire near Muttambalam rail cross as it ran through the Kottayam-Changanassery route.

In what could have been a disaster, the fire personnel extinguished flames that billowed from one of its tankers.

Fuel leak was determined to have caused the ignition.

Authorities have opened an inquiry into the incident.
