The court ruled that the case will run in line with new amendment to Prevention of Corruption Act i.e. vigilance department will need govt approval to investigate complaints.
The bench added that it will resume hearing on December 10 after vigilance works out approval from govt.
The Vigilance dept in March of 2017 discharged KM Mani from involvement in the bribery case, where bar owners alleged they paid Rs 1 crore to him for reopening 418 bars shut under UDF regime.
A few petitioners including VS Achuthanandan approached the vigilance court challenging the acquittal.
