Kochi : BJP state president PS Sreedharan Pillai Tuesday said that top leaders belonging to other parties might soon switch to BJP. Hinting a prime catch among defectors, Pillai said “He wields top charge in the party. We await his arrival.”
Pillai was speaking at a programme organised by Kannur Press Club.
Referring to chief minister absence faced by state, Pillai said “Kerala has been under bureaucrat rule for past three weeks. The govt has not convened even a cabinet meet. Minister EP Jayarajan has been granted only power to chair meetings. The CM is afraid to divest more powers.”.
Taunting at impact of such rigidity, Pillai said “There is nobody to respond, even if Union ministers call. The chief minister does not trust his own comrades and he has brought the rule under the chief secretary.”
On the ongoing nuns protest Pillai said ” In a land where even concealing sexual abuse case is a punishable offence, no arrest has been made despite complaining against it.
