The Kannur International Airport(KIAL) will open to public from Friday, 12 October, where people can have a first hand feel of the mega project which will commence fight operations from September next year.
Each person is required to carry an ID proof and follow instructions given out by officials which includes a prohibition of food and beverages during the visit.
Parking facilities are provided in front of the airport and visiting hours are between 10 am – 4 pm.
An Air India 189-seater Boeing 738 landed successfully on 20 Sept. The airport was used extensively for rescue operations, during the record floods that overwhelmed the state, in mid-August.
