Thiruvananthapuram : Oblivious to the cruel fate that claimed lives of her husband and 2-year-old daughter, Balabhaskar’s wife Lakshmi asks for her loved ones every now and then.
Still on ventilator, those about her assure that the two are under treatment elsewhere in the hospital. Lakshmi continues to be in the ICU, with now ventilator support reduced to 80 percent. She is showing progress now, said hospital sources.
There were plans to inform Lakshmi of her daughter’s death before her cremation two days after the accident on 27 Sept. However relatives decided against it, considering Lakshmi’s critical condition.
When Balabhaskar died on 2 October, it was decided to withhold news of both deaths till she recovered to minimal normalcy.
Meanwhile driver Arjun has recovered well enough and has been shifted to the ward from ICU.
