Highjack scare in Delhi after pilot presses wrong button

A Kandahar-bound flight, that emitted hijack signal, put airport authorities on the edge at Delhi airport, after what emerged later to be, pilot “mistakenly” pressing the wrong button.

The Ariana Afghan Airlines plane, with nine crew members and 124 passengers and an infant,  was taxiing for take-off, when it’s  hijack alarm triggered all agencies including anti-terror force into action.

NSG commandos and official of other agencies swiftly responded to the alert. It took two hours and a second security check to finally let the flight take–off after  confirming that it was only a human error.
