KP Sasikala back at Sabarimala; Should leave in 6 hours, orders police

Sabarimala : Hindu Aiya Vedi president KP Sasikala has picked up the pilgrimage she was forced to abandon after her much publicised preventive detention by police on Saturday.

The police have however asked her to return in a timeline of 6 hours maximum from the shrine.

According to sources, Sasikala, who is carrying her grandson reportedly for chorunnu ceremony, has agreed to cooperate.

Meanwhile, BJP’s youth wing, Yuva Morcha, has declared to intensify protests further alleging “police high-handedness” referring to police arresting around 65 people for carrying out protests at Sannidhanam(temple complex) despite Sec 144 looming in the area that bans such congregation.

Tension looms large in Sabarimala where like two times after the controversial Supreme Court verdict, protesting devotees come together in thousands to thwart police attempt to ferry young women to the shrine.
