Kerala Government removes age limit for transgender students

Transgenders have not been given their rights in society in any of the fields.

Now Kerala government takes a decision on the entry of transgender students into colleges. The government has waived the age limit for transgender students in colleges in the state.

The government has waived the minimum and upper age limits for joining the courses. The government has asked universities to change the rules in this regard.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the Education Assistance Fund will be set up as a sub-component of the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The CM added that the aim of the government is to create academic excellence in all schools through quality education.
