UAE embassy fake website; Ministry of external affairs intervenes

A huge high-tech scam is being perpetrated by creating a fake website of the UAE Embassy India. The scam exploits the travel crises of the Covid pandemic days expatriates.

The Union Ministry of External Affairs has directly intervened in Twenty4 news of a scam in the name of the UAE Embassy. Union Minister V Maruleedharan said that the officials have been directed to take immediate action. Minister V Muraleedharan said that he would officially inform the UAE authorities about the scam.

The scam was conducted through the website of the UAE embassy.in. The website looks like an original one. No one could guess the fraudulent at first sight. But when an expatriate in crisis travels to this website, he falls into the trap of fraud.

First, the expatriate will be asked to mail the travel details. The admin will ask you to send all the documents to the UAE Embassy dot in mail. After receiving all the documents including passport details, then an e-mail will be sent asking you to deposit Rs. 1600 in the name of embassy fee. The money was to be deposited in the SBI account of a Veeru Kumar in Delhi.

The shocking thing in this matter is that a lot of Malayalees are being trapped in this big deal.
