26th IFFK to be held on December 10 in Thiruvananthapuram

The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) kicks off on December 10. This is the 26th Kerala International Film Festival. The festival will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, the permanent venue, in compliance with the Covid norms.

The event will begin on December 10 and will end on the 17th of the same month. The films to be screened at the fair should be submitted by September 10. Chalachithra Academy has invited entries for International Competition, Malayalam Cinema Today, Indian Cinema Today, and World Cinema categories.

Last year, the annual film festival was held in various stages at different locations across Kerala. It was done to avoid crowds over COVID-19 fears. This move was widely panned as some alleged it was a strategy to shift the permanent venue.

Films from the African, Asian, and Latin American countries would be considered for the competition categories.
