Australian farmer draws a heart with sheep to pay tribute to his aunt; Video goes viral
Benjamin Jackson, an Australian farmer, paid a moving tribute to his aunt through his sheep. The video has gone viral on social media. Benjamin’s aunty named Debby was battling cancer for two years. He could not attend her funeral in Brisbane due to the Covid-19 travel restrictions. So he decided to pasture the sheep, laying out the grain in the shape of a heart to show his love.
He aimed to scatter the grain so that when he released his flock, thousands of sheep would stream into the paddock and fill up the vast shape. After several failed attempts, his efforts were rewarded handsomely.
A drone camera captured the video and the footage went viral. It was reshared on Instagram and posted on other social media platforms as well. On the internet, the netizens gave their condolences and commented on the beautifully arranged tribute.
“There was no way I could get up there and see her, say cheerio, or go to the funeral. So I felt hopeless, helpless- I didn’t really know what to do. But because I was doing some feeding already, I just decided to do a massive heart in the ground, which in all earnest, pales in comparison to hers,” he told BBC.
