Apple unveiled its big iPhone event; Everything you need to know about the iPhone series

Apple unveiled four new iPhones, a new Apple Watch, and new iPads on Tuesday during a virtual media event held in California. In the virtual launch, Apple’s new ventures-  iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max have been announced along with the Apple Watch Series 7 and iPads. Interestingly, the company is bringing them to India in the first phase itself along with the US, UK, and over 30 other countries. 

The features of these four iPhones are not so different. All have the same screen sizes and very similar overall designs to their respective predecessors. Better battery life, overhauled cameras, a cinematic video recording mode, and narrower notches across the lineup are the notable improvements with new ones. The four new iPhones are all powered by the brand new A15 Bionic SoC, and all four will ship with iOS 15.

On the other hand, the new Apple Watch Series 7 has some design tweaks but won’t be available before later this year. However, pre-order of iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini start on September 17, with availability beginning a week later on Friday, September 24.

iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini

iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini come with the same A15 Bionic chip and size with 6.1-inch, 5.4-inch as the Proline respectively. It also has a dual-camera system, which is arranged diagonally, and features longer-lasting batteries. Apple said the iPhone 13 will last 2.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13 mini will go 1.5 hours longer on a single charge. The iPhone 13 mini 128GB is priced at Rs. 69,900 in India, 256GB priced at 79.900, and 512GB priced at Rs. 99,900. The iPhone 13 will cost Rs. 79,900, Rs. 89,900 and Rs. 99,900 respectively. 

iPhone 13 pro and iPhone 13 pro max

The rate of the iPhones is as calculated last year itself is- iPhone 13 Pro at Rs 1,19,900 and iPhone 13 Pro Max for Rs 1,29,900. Both the iPhones will be available with up to 1TB of storage. Contrary to some rumors, Apple made upgrades without raising the base price of its various models. The 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max feature Apple’s new, powerful A15 Bionic chip, which Apple said is the “fastest CPU in any smartphone.” 

The Pro devices have a five-core CPU with 50% faster graphics. This will be an upgrade that will appeal to many gamers as well as a bright Super Retna XDR display with a faster refresh rate and an all-day battery life. t comes with a new 77 mm telephoto lens with 3 times optical zoom, as well as new wide and ultrawide cameras. The smartphones come in five new colors- pink, blue, black, white, and red.

iPad and iPad mini

iPad features a powerful A13 chip and it comes with an inch of 10.2. The performance is faster by 20% than the previous model. Apple says it’s now 3 times faster than a Chromebook. Apart from this, it has a 12MP ultrawide camera with Center Stage. It can be used in machine learning to adjust the front-facing camera during facetime video calls. A true tone feature is also included in the iPad that is to adjust the screen’s color temperature to ambient lighting.

On the other hand, 8.3 inch iPad mini now comes with smaller bezels. It has upgraded cameras on the front and back along with Apple’s liquid retina display, USB-C support, magnetic support for Apple Pencil, an updated speaker system.

Apple watch series 7

Apple watch series 7 has a display that is 20% larger than the Series 6. It is a slimmer device that can display 50% more text and also has a full keyboard that you can tap or swipe to type out text messages.
