Expo 2020 Dubai; UAE eases Covid rules for Indians

Expo 2020 Dubai eased off rules and coronavirus protocols for entering the country for Indians. Ambassador of UAE to India Dr Ahmed Albanna announced that all Indian visitors whether they had tourist visas or work visas will be allowed to enter the UAE with eased protocols of COVID-19.  “we have also created a mechanism to issuing visas and expediting issuing of visas to all people and foreigners to visit the Dubai Expo,” said the ambassador.

The expo is expected to commence on 1 October and will end on 31 March 2022. Along with the expo, the UAE’s 50th anniversary in 2021 will also fall during the event, marking an important milestone for the UAE.  Due to the Covid pandemic, the expo which was earlier decided to be conducted on October 20 -2020-April 10, 2021 postponed the event. “25 million visitors are expected to participate in Dubai Expo 2020 and the presence of over 46,000 organizations from more than 180 countries is registered to do business in the event,” said Albanna.

The event will take place in between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi and it is 438 hectares of the area planned as a venue for conducting the main event. The area is located between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, near Dubai’s Western border with Abu Dhabi.

The ambassador said that the main theme of the expo is based on the belief in bringing the world together. The expo can stimulate the exchange of new perspectives and it can also motivate action to deliver real-life solutions to real-world challenges.
