Expo 2020 Dubai; Slovakia launches first hydrogen-powered car MH2

Slovakia pavilion has launched the country’s first hydrogen car at Expo 2020 Dubai. The MH2 hydrogen car is Shaped like a water droplet to reflect its power supply and the makers say that the car doesn’t produce any harmful emissions. 

As per the WAM report, the new technology was unveiled at an event attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of Expo 2020 Dubai. Prime Minister of Slovakia Eduard Heger, Minister of Economy of Slovakia Richard Sulik and Minister of Transport and Construction Andrej Dolezal, and the Commissioner-General of the Slovakia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai also attended the event at Expo 2020.

The hydrogen car was designed by the Slovak designer, Branislav Mauks, who has contributed to the design of every Ferrari model since 2007. It has a ‘unique and functional design’ and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds but the cost is the biggest challenge facing developers. Along with the perfect acceleration, the car has a top speed of 250kph and the details have been shared on Slovakia Expo 2020 Instagram page. 

The designer Branislav Mauks said, ”Slovakia believes in hydrogen technology. we took inspiration from the body of an athlete for the rest of the body. As a result, the shape of the MH2 is very aerodynamic and strong, resembling an athlete ready for the start of a race.”

At Expo 2020 Dubai, the Slovakia Pavilion is in the heart of the Mobility District, and has the theme of ‘Movement of the Future: Hydrogen, Aviation, and Space’. The public can view the car at any time during the scheduled expo event.
