Golden Visa; UAE pays tribute to Covid fighters and their families

The UAE grants Golden Visa in honor of the leading fighters who dedicated their lives and rendered commendable service in preventing the spread of Covid-19. Golden Visa recipients include the families of veteran fighters who gave their lives to protect the country.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, issued the directive. It was found that the decision is a bonus to many Indians, including Malayalees who actively participated in the struggle against Kovid. It is also suggested that long-term visas be issued to the families of health workers who die during the service.

With the Golden Visa, one can stay in UAE for a long period of time and their visa will automatically be renewed. Entrepreneurs, Investors, Individuals with special talents, and students with outstanding capabilities were listed as the eligible group for Golden visas.

 The UAE aims to acknowledge the Covid fighter’s services and give them confidence and encouragement by granting them 10 years of residency, the official news agency Wam said.

Earlier, the golden Visa was issued to doctors from the health sector. In Abu Dhabi alone, more than 500 doctors were issued visas for 10 years.  All doctors licensed by the UAE Health Regulatory Authority can apply for a Visa through the website until September next year. In addition, preparations are underway to facilitate the process for visa applicants from within and outside the country. Necessary instructions have been given for this. The decision to revise the guidelines was based on the ambiguity surrounding the health insurance for Golden Visa recipients.
