Receiving wrong products, damaged products, or even used products via online shopping is not an unusual thing nowadays. However, strange news from Kerala is now in news that a man received the passport of a random person along with the passport cover he had ordered through an e-commerce site.
Midhun Babu a native of Kerala’s Wayanad district, ordered a passport cover from Amazon on October 30 and after receiving the product, he was shocked. The order was delivered to him on November 1, in it the real passport he got belonged to some random person named Muhammad Salih.
Confused Midhun immediately informed Amazon Customer Care, they apologized but there was no solution on how to return it. It is still unclear how an original passport ended up inside the package.
As per Midhun’s belief, the original owner of the Passport might have mistakenly repacked his passport too along with the cover he proposed to return to the e-commerce site. However, Midhun took a decision to send back the passport to Muhammad by post with the help of the address written in the document.
“When he didn’t like the product, he replaced it without taking back the passport. The returned product was not properly inspected by the seller and they sold it when they received another order, said Midhun.
Midhun tried to contact Muhammad Salih, but it was unsuccessful as there was no contact number listed on the passport. But later Midhun managed to find the person’s whereabouts.
