When they decide to step forward, then the US has been considered as a better option for students to pursue their education. The top destination for international students now welcomes dreamy and passionate students from abroad to the mainland.

According to the 2021 Open Door report, the United States this year welcomed almost 914,000 international students who wish to cherish their educational careers ahead. Of the 167,582 students in the 2020-2021 academic year, about 20 percent are Indian students. This might include students from around 200 places of origin in the world. The US thus remains the choice of students for their higher education and remains the top destination among every other in the world.

“Despite the global epidemic, Indian students have been able to apply for visas and travel to the United States. In 2021, over 62,000 student visas were announced and the count is a bit high compared to 2020. This shows that the United States continues to be the destination of choice for Indian students who want to study abroad. We hope to issue more visas next year to help Indian students realize their dreams of studying in the US,” said Don Heflin, Minister Counsellor for Consular Affairs.

“Indian students are valued, they need to get more exposure. They establish lifelong relationships with American peers to maintain and nurture international partnerships and to collectively address global challenges, both current, and future,” Counselor for Cultural and Educational Affairs, Anthony Miranda said in the Open Door report.
