The ability to add music to the feed is one of the most-awaited features of Instagram. To enhance a better experience, the photo-sharing app is working to add this feature to the feed and is being done in three countries, including India. The other two countries, where this feature will first be tested, are Brazil and Turkey, India Today reported.
Instagram working with the feature, which has been already added by the Meta-owned photo-sharing platforms. It allows its users to add music on Instagram Stories and Reels. At present, users can only add music either to stories or to the Reels, users were searching for other apps and searching editing tools to make their move better.
With the new feature, users can add songs to photos and videos in their feed and express themselves better. According to a statement by Instagram, it said: “Adding the new feature, Instagram hopes to give its community a way to add a soundtrack to their Feed photos, like they can with Reels and Stories already.” The statement further said that if a user clicks on a song, it will take them to an audio page that displays all the feed posts used by that song.
Although it is not clear about the release of the new feature, it is confirmed that India would definitely be getting this feature. Moreover, Instagram has already said that it added new features to the list. The Instagram head said that the company has added two new features to improve user experience, including a “rage shake” that will let users report a problem more quickly.
It is also reported that Instagram is shuttering its image-centric messaging app Threads that the company launched back in 2019. Threads allowed users to share their photos and videos in a visual form with their friends.
