India enters Guinness World Records for waving over 78000 national flags at once 

Breaking the previous record held by Pakistan, India created history by entering the Guinness World Records for waving over 78000 national flags- the tricolor at the same time, the ministry of culture said. India on April 23 created the history where the record-breaking moment took place in the presence of Union Minister Amit Shah. It said 78,220 tricolors were waved at the Veer Kunwar Singh Vijayotsav program organized at Duler Ground in Jagdishpur, Bihar.

“The most people waving flags was achieved by Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Culture, Government of India (India), to celebrate Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav` at Jagdishpur, Bhojpur, Bihar, India on April 23, 2022,” The Guinness World records noted. 

The event which took place in Bihar was a Culture as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This event was conducted to commemorate the victory of Veer Kunwar Singh, the then King of Jagadishpur, who is considered to be the hero of the liberation struggle of 1857. The people gathered at the event joined Minister Amit Shah and waved the flags simultaneously.

“ On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter Babu Veer Kunwar Singh, the Indian national flag was waved at Jagdishpur for a full five minutes. Hereafter India will be far beyond the level that actually it is now, and the country is expected to achieve all the top positions by 2047. 

Union ministers RK Singh, Ashwini Choubey, and Nityanand Rai were also present during the program. However, the previous world record was about 56,000 when Pakistani flags were waved at a function in Lahore in 2004.
