Official Sleep at work!!! This Indian start-up will allow employees to take a nap 30 minutes every day

It sounds interesting….Getting paid to sleep at work has been considered a remote possibility but the news of a start-up company in Hyderabad is now creating a wave of trepidation in the minds of many. It was an all-time dream for many employees to get a few-minute nap while they are on the office premises. The Hyderabad start-up company Wakefit has taken steps to make it happen. 

Taking a step in this direction, a Bengaluru-based startup called Wakefit will now allow its staff to take 30-minute naps at work, under the ‘Right to Nap’ policy. The official Twitter handle of Wakefit Solutions has announced it sharing 2 screenshots. In one of the screenshots, it is the post of company’s co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda in which it noted, “ “From now on, you will have the right to nap between 2:00 to 2:30 pm. Your calendar is blocked during this time as official nap time.” The second screenshot shred by the same Twitter handle is a poster sharing the same message with points.

In the official post, the co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda further sadi that the NASA research showed taking a nap for atleast 30 minutes is a good move to improve memory, concentration, creativity, and productivity. He further said, an employees’ work could also be improved and there will be productivity by 33%, added the co-founder.

As predicted, the move has been loved by the social media users and many are responding to the initiative of the Bengaluru-headquartered company in a positive way obviously. A Twitter account shared the company’s official Twitter post and the post read, “Companies needs to treat employees like real people not “resource”. Here is a Co-Founder of a Mattress company “Wakefit”.”

However, this company has already been taking new steps and initiating many moves so as to make employees satisfied with their work atmosphere. In 2019, Wakefit had offered a few interns a stipend of Rs 1 lakh to sleep for nine hours a day, for 100 days.
