Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on British throne celebration to feature ‘Sari’ made of recycled plastics

On the occasion of the mega Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the British throne, the throne will feature a sari created with sustainable recycled plastics displayed on four-meter-high puppets. In Uk, the day will be marked as a holiday and a series of events are on the way to celebrate the day.

The special thing the empire going to witness is the sari created with sustainable recycled plastics displayed on four-meter-high puppets. The sari accompanies a special Bollywood-themed Wedding Party ensemble at the Platinum Jubilee Pageant finale on Sunday curated by UK’s South Asian performance company Nutkhut.

Nutkhut Co-Artistic Director Simmy Gupta on this upcoming beautiful occasion said, “For the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Contest, it is an honor and joy to re-imagine the timeless dress sari.” The sari was designed by Irish fashion designer Paul Costelloe, which was created as a group project by Arts University Bournemouth students.

The Platinum Jubilee pageant will run through The Mall in London and end at Buckingham Palace, with more than 150 eminent artists, including singer Ed Sheeran, paying tribute to the 96 – year – old King. The celebrations comprise 4 days and each day will be delivered different special treat to the Uk residents. The celebrations will begin soon with all the honors for the Queen and the sari showcase will also be an eye-catching moment.  The Jubilee weekend comes to a close on June 5 with the Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
